The goals of Head & Neck Anatomy and Development (ANTD) are to have the student develop a comprehensive understanding of the developmental and anatomical aspects of the head and neck regions of the body. This course utilizes lecture based and video-based based methods to cover basic concepts of histology, embryology, growth and development, macroscopic and microscopic anatomy, neuroscience, physiology, and radiology of the head and neck as they relate to the clinical practice of dentistry. Successful completion of ANTD is required to progress to the D2 year.
