PHARM is designed to achieve two educational goals: to provide students with a sound understanding of the rationale, indications, and contraindications for prescribing pharmacologic agents during dental care, and to develop their ability to evaluate the implications of pharmacologic agents that patients may be taking when presenting for dental treatment. Successful completion of PHARM is required to progress to the D3 year.
